Today I take pen in hand to write and urge you to support the Re-introduction, and speedy adoption of the Judicial Ethics and Anti-Corruption Act. The bill however, would overhaul our nation’s judicial ethics laws to restore public faith in our court system which has been so badly damaged by Chief Justice Roberts and several of the radical conservative judges that now hold office. Americans should be confident that judges are held to the highest ethical standards and are free from conflicts of interest. Specifically, the bill would: -Ban federal judges from owning conflicted assets. -Strengthen restrictions on judicial gifts and privately funded travel. -Require the Supreme Court to adhere to a binding Code of Conduct. -Improve disclosure in the federal judiciary, including live-streaming -Overhaul the broken judicial recusal process. -Create new mechanisms for judicial accountability. -Restrict courts from sealing public health and safety records. With faith in the efficacy of the Supreme Court at an all-time low, it’s more than overdue to fix these issues. Now. Support the re-introduction and passage of the Judicial Ethics and Anti-Corruption Act. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
