Demand Accountability for Warrantless ICE Detention in Everett, WA

To: Sen. Van Hollen, Sen. Alsobrooks, Rep. Elfreth

From: A verified voter in Arnold, MD

September 26

You need to act immediately to stop warrantless ICE operations in Everett, Washington. Masked agents recently pinned a worker to the ground in broad daylight, and as that person gasped "I can't breathe," there was no warrant, no accountability, and no transparency about who these agents even were. A local Navy veteran had to step in just to document what was happening. That is not law enforcement. That is a community being terrorized. This cannot continue without a response from you. Demand a full investigation into this incident, push for legislation requiring ICE agents to identify themselves and present warrants before detaining anyone, and use every tool available to halt these operations in our community until there is proper oversight. Your constituents in Everett are watching, and they need to know you will stand between them and this kind of unchecked federal force.
