Explicitly protects bystanders and citizens who document or record such actions, ensuring legal immunity for those who observe and report potential civil rights violations. 5. Defines unauthorized detention or transport without due process as a form of kidnapping, ensuring full legal accountability at local, state, and federal levels. The unlawful removal, detention, and transportation of individuals without due process is not only unconstitutional—it is a form of state-sanctioned kidnapping. Without strict consequences, such violations will continue unchecked, undermining the rule of law and threatening the freedoms of every person in this country. We must act now. History has taught us that silence and inaction in the face of civil rights violations lead to irreparable harm. Our laws must make it clear: no one is above the Constitution, and due process is not optional. I strongly urge you to champion this cause, draft legislation, and push for bipartisan support.
