If we don’t let athletes bet on games they can influence, why do we let Congress invest in the companies they regulate? Part of being a public servant is earning the trust of those you serve. When members of Congress or the Executive Branch trade stocks with insider information, vote on policies that benefit the companies whose stock they own, or flaunt the ethics related to a conflict of interest, we don’t trust you. SUPPORT LEGISLATION THAT REQUIRES ETHICAL STANDARDS FOR ELECTED OFFICIALS. If you don’t want to be ethical, get out of public service. --
