Co-sponsor the HOMEFRONT Act, introduced by Rep. Warren Davidson. Foreign governments are actively pressuring US companies to censor speech that is fully protected by the First Amendment, and right now there is nothing stopping American courts and agencies from being used to enforce those foreign penalties against us. The scale of this is real. Britain's Ofcom alone sent 197 information notices to US-based businesses under its Online Safety Act. The HOMEFRONT Act would block US courts from enforcing foreign censorship orders unless the targeted speech would lose First Amendment protection here at home. It would also give Americans the right to sue foreign governments for $25,000 in damages when a censorship order is entered against them, and bar extradition of Americans for protected speech. No foreign regulator should have veto power over what Americans can say. This bill closes a genuine legal gap before more countries follow Ofcom's lead. Please co-sponsor it.
