An Open Letter

To: Sen. Ernst, Rep. Feenstra, Sen. Grassley

From: A verified voter in Ames, IA

I am writing as a deeply concerned constituent to express outrage over a recent vote by Congressional Republicans to block the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files. By refusing to allow these documents to be made public, these members are protecting child predators and betraying the interests of vulnerable children across America. Let me be clear: any Republican who voted to prevent transparency is, by their inaction, defending those who abuse children. This is an indefensible stance—plain and simple. The world deserves to know who was involved and who benefited from Epstein’s crimes. Shielding these potential perpetrators is a moral failure of the highest order. It is equally troubling that Attorney General Pam Bondi initially claimed that the “client list”—critical to understanding the breadth of this criminal operation—was “on her desk.” She assured the public that these files would soon be reviewed and released. Now, however, the Department of Justice asserts that no such list exists. That flip-flop is not just confusing—it is unacceptable. It suggests either gross negligence or deliberate concealment. Either way, it is a betrayal of public trust. This lack of accountability is hurting our country. Children who were victims of Epstein are being asked to trust a system that continues to cover for powerful people. How can we expect survivors to heal when the full story is still hidden? The public has had enough of these political games. I urge you to take bold action: Demand a full vote on releasing the Epstein files, including any client list or identifying evidence of co-conspirators. Hold Attorney General Bondi accountable for her earlier assurances—why did she say the list existed, and where did it go? Advocate for transparency and oversight to ensure similar cover-ups can never happen again. Support stronger protections for survivors, including ensuring that any relevant evidence is made available to victims and investigators. The American people deserve the truth. We deserve justice. And above all, we owe it to children—past, present, and future—to expose every piece of this horror story and ensure it never happens again. Thank you for your prompt attention and leadership. I stand with survivors, demand accountability, and expect you to take action.
