Vote NO on the ‘Big Beautiful Bill’

To: Rep. Ellzey, Sen. Cornyn, Sen. Cruz

From: A constituent in Irving, TX

June 23

The "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" is deeply flawed and threatens both our democracy and financial stability. The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office estimates it would increase deficits by a staggering $2.4 trillion and cause nearly 11 million Americans to lose health insurance coverage. Furthermore, Section 70302 alarmingly restricts judicial enforcement of court orders, an unacceptable weakening of checks and balances that puts our democracy at risk. With public disapproval exceeding 55%, this bill disregards the will of the people it is meant to serve. Experts warn that failure to address unsustainable debt growth could force draconian austerity measures or runaway inflation as seen in past crises. For the sake of our nation's future, I urge you to vote against this reckless legislation that sacrifices the well-being of millions for the benefit of the wealthy few. We must chart a more responsible path forward.
