As the democratic nominee for president is no longer President Biden, I urge you to use this opportunity to become the historic beacon of human rights, and power to the people. President Biden now holds the unique position and ability to push forward a legacy of freedom our country has never seen before. President Biden, you can push forward with widespread student debt forgiveness, empowering younger generations with knowledge and financial freedom. You can protect the wellbeing of trans folks of all ages. You can speak out against tyranny and genocide for the good of our human family worldwide. You can establish workable plans to tackle climate change at its roots by cutting carbon emissions, fracking, and decrease the overwhelming release of methane produced by ranchers who steal more forest lands and kill Indigenous lives in the process. Ending the possibilities of absolute presidential immunity is, of course, a priority on your agenda. This is a commendable cause, but don't stop there. Legalize marijuana for adults. Protect biodiversity, promote religious freedom, and open mental health opportunities by legalizing entheogens like peyote and psilocybin for adult use. The people should have the right to make informed decisions about entheogen use for themselves instead of being restricted by paternalistic government. Clean up our oceans and rivers. Put our tax dollars to build solid infrastructure. Dismantled Citizens United. You have this power, President Biden. Bestow this power to the people. Thank you for your service.
