They Fear the Truth — That’s Why They Won’t Seat Adelita Grijalva

To: Sen. Hawley, Rep. Onder, Sen. Schmitt

From: A constituent in Columbia, MO

October 28

Every time this Congress refuses to seat a duly elected representative, every time they stall transparency, every time they dodge accountability, it becomes clearer what they’re really protecting — not democracy, but themselves. Adelita S. Grijalva was elected by the people of Arizona’s 7th District. Her credentials are valid. Her victory certified. Yet House leadership continues to block her installation while pretending this is “procedure.” It isn’t. It’s fear. They fear what happens when people like Grijalva — people who don’t answer to donors, who won’t play the lobbyist game — gain access to the truth. They fear oversight. They fear sunlight. They fear the release of what’s buried in their own vaults, from classified documents to sealed names in the Epstein Files. And they’ll stall, stonewall, and silence anyone who might dare to ask the wrong questions. The hypocrisy couldn’t be clearer. These same leaders claim to defend the Constitution while trampling it. They cry “law and order” while ignoring court orders. They have time to investigate phantoms, but none to seat a lawfully elected member of Congress. The reason? Because they are entangled in the very corruption she represents a threat to expose. It’s no coincidence that Speaker Mike Johnson, now sued for his obstruction, is also the man delaying the release of the Epstein Files — documents implicating the wealthy, the powerful, and, yes, the politically connected. The refusal to seat Grijalva isn’t a glitch in democracy; it’s a feature of their corruption. The people of Arizona deserve representation. The American people deserve truth. Instead, we get silence, evasion, and cowardice from those sworn to uphold our laws. Seat Adelita Grijalva. Release the Epstein Files. Let the truth stand on its own. Because if you have nothing to hide, you shouldn’t be afraid of the light.
