I’m furious. After all the science, all the stories, all the people getting sick and dying — how is Congress even considering giving polluters another loophole to flood our environment with toxic PFAS chemicals?
This isn’t just policy. It’s personal. PFAS exposure has been directly linked to rising cancer rates, immune disorders, and birth defects — and these chemicals don’t disappear. They build up in our water, our soil, and our bodies. We’re now finding microplastics and chemical residue in children, in breast milk, in the bloodstreams of people who have never even lived near a factory.
So I need to know: who are you protecting? Because it’s certainly not us.
The EPA’s 2024 rule to close the “low volume exemption” was one of the most important steps forward in protecting the public. Undoing that now — under pressure from chemical lobbyists — would be nothing short of reckless. I’m asking you, as your constituent and as someone who values basic human health, to oppose any effort to roll back PFAS restrictions.
We are watching. We are organizing. And we are done letting corporations poison us for profit.
