An Open Letter

To: Sen. Merkley, Sen. Wyden

From: A constituent in Portland, OR

November 4

Congratulations on your win Senator Merkley. I was very happy to vote for you. I am deeply concerned Chuck Schumer will not meet the leadership moment and opportunity we find ourselves in. Justice and accountability is needed to move forward as a country and continuing to meet the gop in the middle has gained us nothing. Please use your majority to push forward progressive policies including addressing the climate crisis we are in. Please push for a change in leadership and nominate a Senate leader who will galvanize the party towards accountability against corruption and pushing for progressive policies. Thank you!
