I’m reaching out to oppose the House budget reconciliation bill. This harmful bill would eliminate critical safeguards for unaccompanied children arriving in the U.S., force parents to pay exorbitant fees to gain custody of their own children, subject kids as young as 12 to strip searches at the border (Sec. 70117), and worse. I’m urging Rep. Simon to reject the bill and prioritize humane immigration reforms that keep kids safe.
