I am sending this message to you today to urge you to vote against the nomination of Anthony Tata as Undersecretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness. Tata has fully endorsed the abuse of our military as a political weapon and using our troops as domestic law enforcement. We do not need more of these authoritarian tendencies in the DOD, and they need to be forcefully condemned. Tata has a long record of bigotry and extremism, with a history of spreading conspiracy theories wildly out of touch with reality. He has repeatedly made his racist and Islamophobic views clear. Anthony Tata is yet another unfit, grotesque nominee who should have no place in government leadership. I expect your full-throated opposition.
