I am sympathetic to the needs of law enforcement to seek public assistance when officers are injured in the line of duty by subjects who remain at large. However, the blue alert issued before 5am this morning did not follow the rules laid down in executive order RP-68. It did not include any details about the offenders vehicle or vehicle tag. This failure to follow rules needs to be investigated.
