Im writing to you today because I have an issue with car insurance companies in the State of NY. Not only do they automatically charge you for Supplemental Spousal Liability Coverage unless you specifically say you dont want it. You also can just be canceled from your policy for no reason and without any warning given apparently. My auto policy was canceled a week ago without my knowledge and with know notice given to me, I went to upload my defensive driving certificate I just got and it was listed as canceled. Now, because I wasn't notified and experienced a lapse in coverage it will cost me $200 more to have the same coverage that I already paid for and should still be covered for this time period. I believe this is borderline criminal and at the very least corporate misbehavior. It is unacceptable that this is allowed to happen in our state. I implore you to do something about it.
