An Open Letter

To: Sen. Baldwin, Sen. Johnson, Rep. Grothman

From: A constituent in Fond Du Lac, WI

May 17

Mr. Grothman and Mr. Johnson can you please explain to me why you think that billionaires should pay less taxes than people who make 0.005% of what they do? You keep insisting that people who can barely keep up with bills (especially those on $7.25 minimum wage) should pay more than billionaires who wouldn’t notice no matter how much they were taxed. Do you not see how inappropriate that is! Have you forgotten that government is “of the people, by the people, for the people.” All the people! Not just billionaires! I realize they are your donors so you suck up to them. Your responsibility, however. Is to your constituents and to the constitution. Not to the select few that donate millions. Your families will be so ashamed when they see you written up in history books as pushing for oligarchy and catering to billionaires at the expense of more than 99% of the country. Your “big, beautiful bill” is hogwash! Vote no!
