My January 26, 2026 letter concerned the killing of U.S. citizens by ICE/CBP agents in Minneapolis and the need for independent, transparent investigations and congressional oversight. Your response did not address ICE or CBP use-of-force standards, independent investigations into these deaths, or cooperation with state and local authorities. For clarity, I ask directly: Do you support an independent investigation into the deaths of Alex Pretti and Renée Good involving federal immigration agents? Do you support congressional oversight hearings on ICE and CBP use of force within U.S. cities? Please provide a clear response.
