As I write this, you have already supported a big obscene bill that is the largest wealth transfer from the poor to the super rich we’ve ever seen in this country. You voted to take healthcare away from 16 million people! One in four Oklahomans will lose their healthcare and you voted for it! You told constituents they would transition to employer insurance! A lie! 64% of Oklahomans on Medicaid already work but do not receive healthcare through their employer. Do you expect them to buy it on their limited income. You and your Republican colleagues understand it will close hospitals in rural America so a 15 billion dollar slush fund was included in the bill so you can ensure your State is okay while blue states are out of luck! You sat back while disabled Americans were zip tied and arrested while peacefully protesting for their lives because in your world, they have no rights! You will ensure 16 million Americans die because they can’t access medical care. But you and your family will be fine. You voted to cut Medicare for millions of seniors! You voted for seniors to lose access to nursing home care as Medicaid covers the cost of nursing home care for a significant portion of Oklahomans! You voted to take away critical treatment for those with disabilities. You voted to cut clean energy tax credits so Oklahomans will see an increase in their utilities from an estimated $200 to $400 per family! You voted to cut protections for air and water. You voted to cut funding through NIH for cancer research and other critical care conditions. Hospitals like OUHS that provide critical cancer research will lose funding. You voted to take food assistance away from millions of Americans which will include seniors and children. You did all of this to support tax cuts for people who least need it- billionaires, billionaire corporations and millionaires! And despite efforts by your party to fudge the numbers, the deficit will go up 4 trillion! All of this to support your wealthy donors and to support the Dictator in Chief! As I write this, all of this bill is being read! I hope you pay attention and take notes! Families and individuals making 30,000 to 15,000 will see a tax increase of 20%. Those making less will pay a greater percentage. Those making the most- super wealthy will see the greatest tax cuts! Supposedly you are a man of faith! I hope you pray on this! What you are endorsing is outrageous and obscene! It’s cruel and will lead to millions suffering - and tons of devastation in Oklahoma from people that believed in you! We will make sure they know who did this! You will own it! They will know they were lied to. But it’s not too late, you could do the right thing. Let’s hope you can find your integrity and your courage. Whatever you decide, you will own it!
