As a former federal executive with TS/SCI clearance who was required by law to archive official records, I am appalled by the cavalier treatment of war plans and the use of a commercial app to communicate that destroys records. Under normal circumstances, both houses of Congress would be up in arms demanding an investigation in order to protect national security, state secrets and official records but this Congress is doing nothing. Demand more from the executive branch. The lives of our service personnel and the security of our country is at stake. NOW is the time for action. What better demonstration of the inadequacy of the executives at the helms of intelligence and defense could there ever be?
