VOTE NO: The SAVE Act is an Un-American Attack on Our Freedom
To: Sen. Cornyn, Sen. Cruz, Rep. Roy
From: A constituent in Bandera, TX
February 20
I am writing to demand—not request—that you vote NO on the SAVE America Act.
Let’s be clear: this bill is a transparent, bad-faith attempt to suppress the American vote. It is a solution in search of a problem that does not exist. It is already illegal for non-citizens to vote in federal elections, and there is zero evidence of widespread fraud.
By requiring "documentary proof of citizenship" just to register, you are effectively stripping the right to vote from millions of eligible, tax-paying Americans—including seniors, rural voters, and students—who do not have a passport or birth certificate readily available. This isn't "election integrity"; it is a modern-day poll tax designed to create bureaucratic hurdles that silence the voices of the people.
The United States of America is supposed to be a beacon of democracy, not a country that demands "papers, please" at the ballot box. This legislation is a cowardly retreat from our national values.
If you vote for this trash, you are telling your constituents that you prefer power over people and bureaucracy over liberty. My community and I are watching this vote closely. Do not mistake my directness for anything other than absolute resolve: Vote NO on the SAVE Act.
