Save PEPFAR and The Global Health Fund, vote NO on rescissions

To: Rep. Cohen

From: A constituent in Bartlett, TN

June 10

As your constituent, I urge you to vote NO and encourage all representatives to vote NO on the June 3rd $9.4 billion rescissions package that would cut critical hundreds of millions in funding for global health programs like PEPFAR and UNICEF that Congress approved on a bipartisan basis for fiscal year 2025. I would like to see the Global Fund receive about $2 billion in US federal spending, which amounts to about $6 per American per year, and adding that to the needed funding for PEPFAR… that amounts to only $20 per American per year. $20 a year to save millions upon millions of lives is the bargain of a lifetime. Constituents in your district want you to be intentional with spending, by allocating funding to the things that matter. Saving lives matters.
