Vote to restrict arms sales to Israel

To: Sen. Johnson, Sen. Baldwin

From: A constituent in Appleton, WI

July 30

Please vote in favor of S.J.Res.34 and S.J.Res.41 to restrict arms sales to Israel. You have a responsibility to us as your constituents to make responsible use of our tax dollars. Continuing to arm Israel is not a responsible use of our resources. Multiple organizations, including Israeli organizations, have issued thorough and well-founded statements that Israel is committing genocide. Many doctors are testifying to unacceptable violence against non-combatants, including numerous accounts of children being sniped. Thousands of people have been killed or injured simply while attempting to retrieve aid, with extensive testimony to the fact that Israeli forces (as well as our own contractors) are the ones harming them. Israel continues to place all the blame on Hamas or aid agencies, but they refuse to allow international media in to verify their claims. We cannot continue to arm Israel with our tax dollars when we are unable to receive independent verification that the weapons we provide are not being used unjustly. Even if you still stand with Israel, you can and should desire this certainty. Your responsibility is to the American people first. If you are going to take our money and send it overseas, you must verify that it is being put to good use. Bombing hospitals and sniping children is not good use.
