An Open Letter

To: Gov. DeSantis, Rep. Nixon, Sen. Davis

From: A constituent in Jacksonville, FL

April 27

Oppose Florida Redistricting Push I oppose the current push for redistricting in Florida. Redistricting should follow a consistent, predictable process—not be revisited in a way that appears driven by short-term political considerations. Voters across the political spectrum value stability and fairness, and changing district lines outside the normal cycle risks undermining trust in our elections. This is not a partisan concern. Whether Republican, Democrat, or independent, Floridians want to know that their representation is not being reshaped for political advantage. Efforts that seem rushed or lack transparency raise legitimate concerns about fairness and weaken confidence in our institutions. Please pause and reconsider this redistricting effort. Commit to a transparent, inclusive process that prioritizes communities and public trust over politics. Florida’s voters deserve fair representation that is consistent, accountable, and above reproach.
