Exert Congressional and moral authority

To: Rep. Cherfilus-McCormick, Sen. Moody, Sen. Scott, Pres. Trump

From: A verified voter in Sunrise, FL

January 3

Military aggression in service of acquiring control of resources by the expansion of our already over-bloated empire can never be justified, regardless of pretense. Not doing all in ones power to counter such actions makes one fully and directly complicit in the evil that is warfare-for-profit. Whatever power or influence one has must be exerted fully in moments like this, without regard for risk to one's own current position or political future. Times like these require courage and sacrifice. Please publicly denounce the military actions taken against Venezuela and make clear that you will vigorously and rigorously oppose all such actions regardless of administration or party. Require that the duties of Congress be exercised solely by Congress, and do not let any President act unilaterally in acts of war without explicit Congressional approval, in advance. Require that the President and Secretary of Defense be held fully and immediately accountable, legally and politically, for their clear and intentional disregard of the Constitution.
