Allowing these subsidies to expire would raise healthcare costs for millions of Americans who are already stretched thin. This is not a complicated policy question — it’s a basic test of whether you are willing to protect your constituents from unnecessary financial harm. If you choose inaction or political games over people’s access to affordable healthcare, don’t expect to be rewarded with another term in office. Do your job. Extend the ACA subsidies.
