Reevaluate military aid over civilian casualties in Palestine

The United States government must reevaluate its military aid to Israel in light of reports that U.S.-made bombs were used in an airstrike that killed over 40 civilians, including 16 children, in the Palestinian refugee camp of Rafah. This indiscriminate violence against innocent civilians, especially children, is unacceptable and a potential violation of international laws prohibiting disproportionate civilian casualties in armed conflict. As a nation founded on principles of human rights and dignity, the U.S. has an ethical obligation to ensure its weapons are not enabling such atrocities. I urge you to suspend military assistance to Israel pending a full and transparent investigation into this tragic incident and to take decisive steps to prevent any further harm to Palestinian civilians.
