President’s extrajudicial killings of foreign nationals makes America less safe

Mr. Trump has posted several times now on his personal social media outlet that he has ordered the extrajudicial killings of foreign nationals on boats in international waters.
These extrajudicial killings are not allowed under international law nor under United States law.
Even if the individuals on any of these vessels are engaged in drug trafficking activities, those crimes would require legal due process and none of them carry death penalty sentences.
Congress has the power to declare war or to withhold such declaration. The executive branch does not have the authority to arbitrarily and capriciously execute foreign nationals, and these actions constitute a violation of international law that make all Americans less safe.
Congress must restrain this lawless executive.
