Stop relinquishing the legislature’s function

To: Rep. Cammack, Sen. Scott, Sen. Moody

From: A constituent in Gainesville, FL

April 18

As a constituent of the great state of Florida and proud member of the Gator Nation I feel it is my civic duty to remind you, my representatives, that our nation was founded on the premise that we did not want to be ruled by a king, monarch, emperor. The Trump administrations continued use of executive orders and manufactured states of emergency to expand the powers of the executive branch in conjunction with their disregard for the rulings of the courts is deeply disturbing to me. The USA will have no King! Remind yourself of this very simple concept as the sycophantic congress (yes, i mean You) allows this to happen without providing the check to executive power as designed by our framers. Self styled “Constitutionalists” should be especially vocal about the stripping of the legislature’s function as a co-equal member of our government. STOP bending the knee to an adjudicated rapist, serial cheat and dishonest businessperson. Regrow your intestinal fortitude and put a stop to this overt centralization of power.
