The sailors of the Gerald R. Ford are being abused by leadership. Sleep, which is needed for mental health recovery, has been taken away even while mental health has plummeted. Multiple suicide attempts have been made while no effort to address mental health issues have been made. This operational tempo and the abuse of the sailors is driven by Trump and Hegseth’s ego. The crew’s needs must be addressed.
