I am writing as a deeply concerned constituent. The ongoing lying, gaslighting, and open contempt for democratic norms coming from Trump’s administration is no longer just “politics as usual.” It is dangerous. We are witnessing the erosion of truth, the normalization of state violence, and a growing disregard for the U.S. Constitution and the rule of law. American citizens are being harmed and killed while officials deflect, deny, and rewrite reality. So I am asking you plainly: Do you stand for American citizens and the Constitution you swore an oath to uphold—or do you stand with authoritarianism, fascist tactics, and a rogue administration that places power above law and loyalty above democracy? Silence, deflection, or “both-sides” rhetoric is complicity. This is not about party. It is about whether our government is accountable to the people, constrained by law, and grounded in truth. History will remember who spoke up and who chose comfort over courage. I expect my elected officials to defend democratic institutions, demand transparency, and reject propaganda and abuses of power—clearly and publicly. Where do you stand?
