Senators Cory Booker and Alex Padilla introduced a bill that would require immigration enforcement officers to display “clearly legible identification.” It would also prohibit officers from wearing “non-medical face coverings.” I hope you will become a co-sponsor. No legible IDs and face masks are meant to intimidate and terrify. This falls way beneath our American ideals. It reeks of the worst militaristic dictatorships. ICE agents should be identifiable and held to account for their actions, if necessary.
