I urge you to begin impeachment proceedings against Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin and publicly support removing him from office for abuses committed under his leadership. DHS’s October 12 raid on Rep. Ilhan Omar’s home demands immediate congressional scrutiny. Mullin publicly discussed an investigation into Rep. Omar beforehand. Congress must obtain the authorization records and communications behind the operation, compel testimony, and investigate whether political interference shaped the department’s actions. Sec. Mullin has also defended ICE’s violent conduct, including the recent shooting of a man whose young son was in the car. Communities deserve protection from federal abuses and meaningful accountability for officials who enable them. Press for an impeachment investigation, public hearings, and consideration of articles of impeachment. Representatives and Senators must support full accountability and removal of Sec. Mullin. Publicly state your position and the steps you will take. Congress must defend due process, freedom of political participation, and the safety of the people it represents.
