Invoke the 25th Amendment Before Trump Starts a War on Social Media

To: Rep. Ciscomani, Sen. Kelly, Sen. Gallego

From: A constituent in Tucson, AZ

March 22

The President just threatened to obliterate Iran's power plants via a Truth Social post from Mar-a-Lago. This is not how the United States conducts foreign policy. You must invoke the 25th Amendment immediately before this reckless behavior escalates into a full-scale war. Trump issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Iran on March 21, demanding they reopen the Strait of Hormuz by March 23 or face destruction of their infrastructure. Iran has already responded with threats to strike regional energy facilities across the Middle East. Iranian missiles hit Israeli cities on Saturday, injuring dozens near a nuclear research center. Iran has launched 4,000-kilometer strikes reaching Diego Garcia. We are on Day 23 of this conflict, and Trump is governing through social media posts while the world edges toward catastrophe. One day before this ultimatum, Trump said we were "close to meeting our objective" and considering "winding down" operations. His contradictory statements show he has no coherent strategy. Twenty-two nations are calling for diplomatic solutions, but Trump is threatening war crimes from a resort. The Cabinet must act now to remove him from command before his next post triggers World War III.
