The Department of Justice has veered dangerously off course under Attorney General Bondi. Instead of upholding the law, the DOJ is now being used as a political weapon to shield Donald Trump and punish his critics. Key appointments—like Kash Patel at the FBI and deputies Blanche, Bongino, and Bove—have turned the agency into an extension of Trump’s inner circle.
From dropping charges in the classified documents case, to firing prosecutors investigating January 6th, to launching retaliatory probes into former officials like Comey and Brennan, the DOJ's actions show clear political bias. The mishandling of the Epstein case, with the firing of a prosecutor and contradictory memos, only adds to the public’s distrust.
Congress must step in. Establish an independent prosecutor, strengthen whistleblower protections, and hold aggressive oversight hearings. The DOJ should serve justice—not political power.
