Kash Patel must be removed from office

To: Rep. Van Duyne, Sen. Cornyn, Sen. Cruz

From: A constituent in Dallas, TX

May 17

The Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation snorkeled over the tomb of more than 900 sailors and Marines at the USS Arizona in Pearl Harbor as a leisure activity. The USS Arizona has stood as one of the nation’s most hallowed sites since Japan bombed and sank it in 1941. Kash Patel doing a VIP snorkel around the battleship is one of the most disrespectful things imaginable at such a sacred location. In doing so, the FBI director has desecrated that tomb. How much more of this Republican administration’s disrespect will be allowed? What’s next, an Arlington National Cemetery fun run? Pickle ball at the Normandy American Cemetery? As someone whose Father, brother and two uncles are in in national cemeteries, I find this disgusting. As a member of Congress, you have the power and authority to take decisive action in this matter. Director Patel must be called before Congress and publicly reprimanded. In light of his other recent gaffes, he also must be removed from office. It is deeply troubling such a frivolous, non-serious person should be in charge of the FBI. My wife and I urge you to remove this flippant, unqualified director from office as quickly as possible.
