Tap, tap, tap. Is this thing on? I’d like to introduce myself. I’m what’s called your con-stit-u-ent. I am not what some of your colleagues have called a crisis actor. I have not received a check from anyone to act like I care about the creeping kleptocracy you are ignoring. But I bet you received some checks didn’t you? I bet you received large checks from people like Elon Musk, The Koch brothers, Peter Theil didn’t you? I bet they were paying you to do what you are doing, which is nothing, while the billionaires dismantle democracy from within. I bet they paid you to look the other way while they violated the constitutional separation of powers. How much have you received to make excuses while they gut the federal government to end oversight on their illegal activities? While they free up revenue to pay for yet another billionaire tax cut? How much does it take to buy silence from self proclaimed “patriots” like you? What are you going to do when all the legal guardrails are gone and you fall out of favor? In Russia, Trumps hero Putin, puts his enemies in gulags, or they “fall” out of windows, or their planes “crash”. Is that all we the people have to look forward to now? Schadenfreude? How about you do what your real patriot forefathers and foremothers did? Stand against kleptocracy and tyranny. Stand up for your article 1 constitutional powers. Stop Trump or Elon or some random lady from using DOGE to end run around Congress. And while your at it, stand up for Ukraine in their fight against tyranny. Congress appropriated the funds Trump is withholding. You know he does not have the authority to hand Ukraine over to Putin like some brides wedding gift to his husband. And you do nothing. I await your courage.
