Vote “NO” on any resolution compensating pardoned felons that attacked Capital Hill police in an attempt to illegally overthrow our government. The President called adults who engaged in violent actions; beating, repeatedly tazing and chemically spraying Capital Hill police officers who were doing their jobs, “patriots”. He encouraged them to attack the Capitol. He said they were “unfairly” imprisoned. He recorded a version of the national anthem with them in prison. He pardoned each and every one of them without any consideration of level of offense, number charges or whether the felons exhibited any remorse. Over 60, at this writing, have gone on to reoffend in the last 16 months; sexual predation, solicitation of minors, assault, and 1st degree attempted murder before being killed by the police he was attempting to kill among the others with various types of felony charges. Yesterday, he had his personal attorney and acting AG, Todd Blanche, authorize a $1,776,000,000 fund paid out of the U.S. Treasury (our taxes) to ‘compensate’ the pardoned felons for their ‘distress’ in having been found guilty in a Federal Court of Law of committing multiple felonies, sentenced and imprisoned. $1,184,000. That is what each of the approximately 1500 felons (and they are felons as the SCOTUS has determined that accepting a pardon implies accepting guilt) will potentially get for their crimes. Now, THERE is a payday! You know this is wrong. If you vote to approve this, then it shows that you are afraid. You are afraid to speak out. You fear the repercussions from an unstable and demonstrably vengeful President and the White House staff. I hope you realize that there is no political safety in just following the playbook and keeping your very well paying job. You, and everyone else, are only a slight away from losing favor. You only need examine the political boneyard of former loyalists. Voting for this will not protect you. It will only further sully your already tarnish legacy. Allow me to repeat for emphasis: Vote “NO” on any resolution compensating pardoned felons that attacked Capital Hill police in an attempt to illegally overthrow our government.
