Permitting dangerous forever chemicals in our drinking water is the opposite of your job. The EPA is now proposing to eliminate the 2024 standards protecting Americans from unsafe levels of PFAS chemicals — GenX, PFHxS, PFNA, and PFBS — in drinking water. Worse, the agency has reversed course and stopped defending those standards in a federal lawsuit brought by the chemical industry to wipe them out entirely. That's not a policy disagreement. That's the government siding with polluters against the people it exists to protect.
Congress is supposed to represent us. Do that job. Push back on this administration's dismantling of an agency that is supposed to regulate pollution, not increase it. Americans need a fully funded, fully staffed EPA with robust regulations — not one that hands chemical companies a legal victory over our drinking water. Fight to restore these PFAS protections before the courts strip them away for good.
