Stop Unlawful Deportation and Imprisonment

To: Sen. Van Hollen, Rep. Olszewski, Pres. Trump, Sen. Alsobrooks

From: A constituent in Owings Mills, MD

April 7

The Trump administration's actions regarding immigration enforcement are deeply concerning and violate fundamental human rights principles. Wrongfully deporting a lawful resident like Kilmar Abrego Garcia and making baseless allegations about gang ties without evidence is unacceptable. The use of an archaic wartime law to accelerate deportations without due process is a disturbing erosion of civil liberties. This targeted persecution of immigrant communities, particularly those of color, promotes an environment of fear and discrimination. We must enact comprehensive immigration reform that upholds human dignity, ends militarized enforcement, and provides a pathway to citizenship for those already established in our communities. Deporting hardworking people who contribute to society is detrimental to families and local economies. I urge you to take immediate action to halt these inhumane deportation practices, prevent further wrongful removals, and protect the rights of all residents regardless of immigration status.
