I strongly oppose the nomination of Casey Means as Surgeon General. Means lacks critical medical qualifications, having never completed her residency. Her unsubstantiated claims that modern healthcare and medications worsen health outcomes reveal a disturbing disregard for proven, life-saving treatments. Her promotion of pseudoscientific beliefs, including vaccine skepticism and opposition to birth control, puts public health at risk. Means' fringe views on healthcare make her unfit to lead the nation's public health initiatives. The Surgeon General must be an evidence-based expert committed to advancing medical science, not an influencer peddling dangerous misinformation that undermines trust in mainstream medicine. For the wellbeing of all Americans, I urge the rejection of this dangerously unqualified nominee.
