I am dismayed and disgusted to learn that you have introduced a house resolution to urge the Supreme Court to revisit and overturn Obergefel v Hodges. This resolution is a brazen attempt to take away Americans’ civil rights, and it ignores (or demonstrates ignorance of) the process by which cases make their way to the Supreme Court for review. Further, the resolution will do nothing to keep anyone safe or preserve anyone’s rights: it is simply an unabashed effort to pander to homophobic Michiganders. I hope you will reconsider this ill-advised, hateful, and frankly embarrassing resolution. Thank you.
