The United States should immediately suspend military aid to Israel given the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza and Israel's failure to sufficiently allow access for vital aid. The devastating toll on Palestinian civilians, including the imminent risk of famine in northern Gaza, cannot be ignored nor enabled through continued military assistance. A firm policy stance holding Israel accountable to legal obligations and ethical standards regarding protection of civilian populations is essential. Suspending military aid transfers is a necessary step to compel Israel to comprehensively address the aid blockade, uphold international humanitarian law, and prevent further civilian suffering in Gaza.
