Petition: Remove AIPAC's Money from Politics by Replacing Schumer and Jeffries
Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries have accepted AIPAC-linked support throughout their careers. Schumer's career total from pro-Israel PACs exceeds $1.3 million. Jeffries has received roughly $1.7 million in AIPAC-linked backing. AIPAC itself publicly praised both leaders after the midterms, confirming the relationship is mutual and ongoing.
AIPAC's super PAC, United Democracy Project, spent $53.6 million directly on races this cycle, plus another $13.1 million routed through pop-up PACs with innocuous names that disclosed donors only after elections passed. The group has raised $233 million to reward allies and punish critics. Its ads almost never mention Israel—only six of 109 ads did—instead using abortion and the economy as cover while the money serves a foreign policy agenda.
This is not about any single policy position. It is about whether congressional leadership answers to voters or to a lobby whose spending operates through deception. When leaders accept this money and remain silent while pop-up PACs distort primaries, they become part of the problem. New leadership is needed—leaders who will reject AIPAC cash, support disclosure reform, and end the pass-through schemes that let mega-donors buy elections without accountability.
We call on Congress to replace Schumer and Jeffries with leaders committed to removing AIPAC's money from politics.
