Reject A Budget That Doesn’t Benefit All Americans

To: Sen. Baldwin, Rep. Wied, Sen. Johnson

From: A verified voter in Sturgeon Bay, WI

April 28

I am writing as your constituent and a deeply concerned citizen to urge you to reject the budget proposals currently under consideration. These proposals threaten to undermine essential programs that millions of Americans rely on, while offering tax breaks to corporations and the wealthiest individuals. The proposed cuts to vital services such as healthcare, education, nutrition assistance, and environmental protection will harm working families, seniors, and vulnerable communities. Slashing funding for programs like Medicaid, Social Security, and student aid not only jeopardizes economic stability but also betrays the fundamental values of fairness and opportunity that define our nation. A budget is a moral document — it reflects our priorities as a country. We should be investing in policies that strengthen the middle class, protect the environment, ensure affordable healthcare, and create pathways to prosperity for all, not just the wealthy few. I urge you to stand up for your constituents by rejecting these harmful budget proposals and advocating for a budget that invests in people, not special interests. We need a budget that builds a stronger, fairer America for everyone. Thank you for your time and your service.
