Co-sponsor AB 2352, the Abolish Super PACs Act, and do everything possible to pass it with the strongest safeguards available. The Citizens United decision opened the floodgates, and the 2024 election made the damage impossible to ignore. Billionaires poured hundreds of millions into Super PACs across the last two election cycles, drowning out the voices of ordinary Americans who can't write eight-figure checks. Current campaign finance law is fundamentally antidemocratic. When a handful of ultra-wealthy individuals can spend without limit to shape elections, the rest of us are spectators in our own democracy. I need elected officials who represent me, not the financial interests of a few billionaires. AB 2352 is a direct answer to that problem. Co-sponsoring it is a statement that elected officials answer to constituents, not to donor class money. Pass it.
