This morning Ukraine is continuing search and rescue operations at the site of a Russian attack on a Ukrainian school where 40 are confirmed dead and another 30 remain missing among the rubble. The silence from the United States is deafening. Time and again the executive branch of our government has stated that Ukraine has the power to end this war of aggression by Russia against Ukraine, while Russia commits war crimes like this one. Congress must speak with one voice and with the force of our military industrial complex behind it to ensure Ukraine has the hardware, software, and support it needs to defend its territorial integrity, its civilians, and its sovereignty against Russian aggression intent on stealing land and culture from Ukraine’s people.
