Dear Senator/Representative, I am writing as a concerned constituent regarding the detention of journalist Don Lemon. this raises serious First Amendment concerns. A free press—the Fou rth Estate—is essential to democracy and must be protected from int imidation or punishment for doing its job. If Mr. Lemon is being held for journalistic activity or commentary, Please make your voice heard and demand his release stating the protections of the First Amendment, especially in regard to the Fourth Estate. I urge you to publicly address this matter, demand transparency, and ensure that constitutional protections for the press are upheld without exception.
