I am writing as one of your constituents to demand an immediate, independent investigation into reports concerning Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and his handling of medical support for U.S. service members deployed overseas. Recent reporting has raised deeply troubling allegations that a U.S. Army unit repeatedly requested critical medical supplies, those requests were denied or ignored, and that American personnel may have died after an attack without having access to necessary lifesaving equipment. If these reports are accurate, they represent a catastrophic failure of leadership and a profound betrayal of the men and women who serve our country. Members of our military deserve competent leadership that places their safety above politics, public relations, or bureaucratic failures. Congress has both the authority and the constitutional responsibility to conduct rigorous oversight of the Department of Defense. I urge you to: Conduct a full, transparent investigation into these allegations. Hold public hearings and compel testimony from relevant officials. Release the findings to the American people. If the investigation confirms that Secretary Hegseth neglected his duty or misled Congress or the public, call for his immediate removal from office and pursue any appropriate legal or disciplinary action. The lives of American service members should never be treated as expendable. Accountability is not partisan—it is essential to maintaining trust in our military and our democracy. I expect you to put the safety of our troops ahead of politics and to act swiftly
