Oppose Federal Interference in State Election Administration

To: Rep. Owens, Sen. Lee, Sen. Curtis, Pres. Trump

From: A verified voter in West Jordan, UT

August 30

Keep the federal government out of state election administration. States have run their own elections since the founding of this country, and that authority belongs to us — not Washington. Whatever legislation or federal overreach is currently on the table, vote against it. Election administration is not a one-size-fits-all operation. My state knows its voters, its geography, and its needs far better than any federal agency ever could. Centralizing control over elections doesn't make them more secure — it creates a single point of failure and strips accountability away from the local officials voters can actually hold responsible. Stand firm against any federal mandate that dictates how our state conducts its elections.
