As ICE comes to wreak havoc on Wisconsin stories of families torn apart, suffering, mothers, children, fathers in prison. These are not the criminals Trump promised us. They are the economic fabric of our city, our neighbors, our friends. It’s time again to stand up for what is moral. If you consider yourself Christian or not, destroying lives, hurting children, imprisoning people for no good reason is immoral, but it’s also fiscally irresponsible. The $$$ going to ice could be used to fix the immigration system, school funding, or getting lead pipes out of our water systems. It’s a lack of imagination that leads a country to use tax dollars for torture and not for a cause that actually improves the lives of people who live here
